Scared the crap outta me, and half the theater. Except in addition to stretching the mouth to simulate dying of fright, they also made the skin green and look like it'd been soaking in water for a week - at least that was the intent. The outcome was that when it came unexpectedly for half a second, it became one of the scariest visuals I've seen in a movie - and I was 24 when the movie was new.
